Responsibilities
As an SAP MDG Techno-Functional Consultant, your role will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and supporting robust master data management solutions.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Solution Design and Implementation
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements for master data governance and create tailored solutions using SAP MDG.
- Develop and configure SAP MDG modules for data models, workflows, validations, and user interfaces.
- Lead integration efforts between SAP MDG and other systems to ensure seamless data flow.
- Data Quality and Governance
- Define and enforce data governance standards and policies.
- Monitor data quality and design processes to address inconsistencies or gaps.
- Technical Expertise
- Perform technical configuration and customization of SAP MDG frameworks.
- Develop enhancements using ABAP, BRF+, or other tools for SAP extensions.
- Optimize system performance and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Project Management
- Lead and execute SAP MDG projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Prepare documentation, conduct training, and provide end-user support.
- Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between data governance strategies and organizational goals.
- Proactively propose process improvements and leverage new SAP MDG capabilities.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with SAP MDG implementations as a techno-functional consultant.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP MDG frameworks, data models, workflows, and validations.
- Proficiency in ABAP, BRF+, FIORI, and SAP integration technologies.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
Functional Skills:
- Strong understanding of master data concepts and governance processes for domains like customer, supplier, material, and finance.
- Demonstrated ability to align technical capabilities with business needs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP MDG certification is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proven track record of collaborating with stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
