About the Role
We are looking for a skilled HCC Risk Adjustment Coder to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will review and code medical records to ensure accurate hierarchical condition category (HCC) risk adjustment. Your expertise will help optimize reimbursement and maintain compliance with industry standards, contributing to the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate HCC codes.
- Ensure compliance with risk adjustment guidelines, including CMS and HHS regulations.
- Validate and reconcile coding discrepancies for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with providers and staff to clarify documentation.
- Stay updated on HCC coding changes and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Certified coder (CPC, CRC, CCS, or equivalent).
- Experience with HCC risk adjustment coding is required.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and coding software.
